Rush signs new $285 million contract

July 16, 2001 by Scott Jameson

Matt Drudge is reporting that conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has signed a new eight year deal that will net the syndicated talker $250 million.

Additionally, he'll pick up $35 million up front as a signing bonus. Rush, whose afternoon show is heard in over 600 markets including here in Syracuse on 570 WSYR, will now earn more than Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw, and Barbara Walters — combined.
