WCNY to drop All Things Considered

July 21, 2001 by Scott Jameson

After more than 20 years, Syracuse classical music station WCNY 91.3 FM has decided to stop airing National Public Radio's All Things Considered.
Beginning September 3, the Syracuse public radio affiliate will instead extend its afternoon classical music broadcast until 6 p.m. and add The Sound of Jazz with Leo Rayhill from 6 to 7 p.m. All Things Considered can still be heard weekday afternoons on WRVO 89.9 FM and WAER 88.3 FM.
