Former Y94FM jock part of Jethro Tull flap

November 14, 2003 by Scott Jameson

MONMOUTH, NJ -- Phil LoCascio, a former Y94FM (WYYY) air personality who now programs WCHR-FM in Monmouth, New Jersey, says that his station has banned Jethro Tull's music forever. The hubbub surfaced as the result of a published interview with the band's leader, Ian Anderson, in which he said he hated seeing the American flag "hanging out of every bloody station wagon."  LoCascio, known on the air as 'Dr. Phil' during his stint in Syracuse, did afternoon drive for Y94FM in the early 1980s.
