WFBL is back home at 1390 AM

December 2, 2003 by Scott Jameson

SYRACUSE -- Ten years after Buckley Broadcasting purchased the WFBL call letters and moved the station to 1050 AM, WFBL and the station's news-talk programming have returned to its legendary 1390 AM frequency.Meanwhile, the call letters for the 1050 AM signal have reverted back to WSEN AM.

For now, WFBL's news-talk format is being broadcast on both frequencies, but look for 1050 AM to eventually flip to a simulcast of sister station Oldies 92.1 (WSEN).

Buckley purchased the 5,000 watt WDCW 1390 AM from Crawford Broadcasting in September for $1.2 million.
