B104.7 maintains its big lead

January 27, 2004 by Scott Jameson

B104.7 (WBBS) once again came out on top in the Fall 2003 Arbitron ratings for the Syracuse radio market. With a 12.1 rating, the country station held on to much of the huge boost it received in the summer book, keeping the station well ahead of the rest of the pack.

The real battle shapes up for second place where 570 WSYR, 93Q (WNTQ), and 95X (WAQX) are all within a tenth of a ratings point.Oldies 92.1 (WSEN) took the biggest hit as it slipped below TK-99/105 in the 12+ rankings. Sunny 102 (WZUN) and WTLA/WSGO both saw gains for Galaxy Communications while K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH) lost ground to Clear Channel's New Rock 105 (WWDG) which bested K-Rock's numbers for the first time since 'The Dog' switched to alternative rock 12 months ago.

Ratings cited are for listeners 12+ in all dayparts and do not necessarily reflect rankings in key sales demographics.
