Eagle sale in Ithaca hits a roadblock

The FCC has heard from an Ithaca area group who is looking to break up the group of four stations in that city owned by Eagle Broadcasting.

In its petition, the 'Finger Lakes Alliance for Independent Media' claims WHCU, WTKO, WYXL, and WQNY make up the entire Ithaca advertising market and are looking for a ruling from the feds that forces Eagle to divest itself of at least one station regardless of whether the proposed sale to Saga goes through.
