Y94FM, 'The Dog' up in latest ratings

October 27, 2004 by Scott Jameson

It was a good summer for Y94FM (WYYY). The adult contemporary station moved into fourth place in the Syracuse market for the summer Arbitron ratings period, their best showing in more than three years.

But the format with the most movement looks to be the various blends of rock from across the dial.Rock 105 'The Dog' (WWDG) had its best book yet with a 3.0, but that figure doesn't take into account their latest format move from an alternative/modern rock format to a more traditional rock playlist. K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH) also saw an uptick with a .7 ratings point increase. That all spells bad news for 95X (WAQX) which slid from third to sixth place.

And what about the top of the heap? Yep. It's B104.7 (WBBS) again with a 4 point lead over its nearest rival.

Numbers are for listeners 12+ in all dayparts and are not necessarily indicative of ratings in other key sales demographics.
