Syracuse’s Movin 100.3/96.5 confirms for CNYRadio.com that morning host/PD Nick Caplan is no longer employed by the station. Station management only said of the decision, “we decided to make a change.” In the meantime… Station Manager Sam Furco is serving as interim PD. The station tells us the search for a new morning host is the primary goal right now, and a decision on PD will be made later. Part-timers are hosting mornings until a permanent replacement is found. The on-air “half” of Caplan’s old position was posted on AllAccess.com Monday night:

History buffs may remember this isn’t Nick Caplan’s first time working in the WOLF building on Kirkpatrick street. The WOLF 1490 Tribute Site has an entire page of photos of Caplan from decades ago.
I will definitely miss Nick. I listened to him at oldies 96 out of Utica. I love your station, but it won’t be the same with Nick and Marlene gone.
