Skip Clark Gets PD Stripes at MOViN'

April 17, 2008 by CNYRadio.com

Skip Clark has been filling in on mornings for MOViN 100.3/96.5 for quite some time, and now, multiple sources report that change is permanent.  Clark has also been promoted to Program Director, and there are some other changes at the station.

AllAccess.com says morning co-host Jessica Rolince, formerly a part-time jock, has been promoted to full-time status.  And radio-info.com quotes Clark as saying he'd like to eventually add a live, full-time night jock, as that particular airshift automated at the present time.

A live night jock would certainly help MOViN be more competitive with 93Q, where evenings are live, according to morning hosts Ted & Amy in a February newspaper article.  It would also give MOViN an edge over Y94FM and Lite Rock 105.9, which both run syndicated programming from 7pm-Mid.  It could also be a leg up over Hot 107.9, where evenings are believed to be automated since DJ Maestro was taken off the shift in 2006 (coincidentally, during the same round of Clear Channel budget cuts that saw Clark exiting the same shift at B104.7).

CNYRadio.com reported in February that Station Manager Sam Furco had been temporarily holding down PD duties after former PD/AM Driver Nick Caplan was shown the door.  He remains listed on the website as Station Manager.
