Contrary to the popular saying… it doesn’t stay in Vegas if you post it on the station website! WFRY morning co-host James Pond alerted us to some pictures from a recent trip to Vegas after the show was nominated for an award from the Academy of Country music this spring.
Here’s James posing somewhere on the strip. We even jazzed up our usual credit to fit in with all the flashy neon. There are more pictures on Froggy 97′s website, including more sights from Vegas, along with pictures of James’ wife Laura, and his co-host Cricket.
As you may remember from our coverage earlier this spring, WFRY was nominated for the ACM’s “Radio Station of the Year – Small Market” award. Unfortunately, they didn’t clinch that title, but only a few months later, the “Morning Splash with James Pond & Cricket” would win the NYS Broadcasters Association Award for “Outstanding On-Air Broadcast Personality or Team.”
