Citadel’s Syracuse cluster briefly had 2 openings for PDs, but they’re back to just one opening, after hiring a new skipper for active rocker 95X (WAQX).
According to Radio and Records, Hunter Scott will take the helm later this coming week. He comes to Syracuse from a Hot AC station in Canton, Ohio, but R&R notes the bulk of his experience prior to that was at rock stations in Michigan and Cleveland. Scott “semi-replaces” Alexis, who has decided to give up PD duties after five years in charge. However, she’ll retain her midday on-air shift.
That one remaining PD opening is for Lite Rock 105.9 (WLTI), after former PD Dave Allen was let go this past Wednesday.
