I-100 Picks Up Live Concert Show

September 18, 2008 by CNYRadio.com

Rock fans in Ithaca can enjoy the virtual thrill of going to a concert every weekend, thanks to a new addition to the programming lineup at Saga's I-100 (WIII).

AllAccess.com says I-100 is one of five stations across the country that recently picked up the syndicated show, "Live in Concert."  The weekly show includes sets of several songs recorded live during concerts from at least four different artists.  Much like a real multi-artist concert, the show has three "minor" acts, leading up to a headliner.  For example, the "Live in Concert" website says this week's show features Genesis, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan, leading up to a set of at least 8 songs from The Who.

We weren't able to find anything indicating exactly how long the show runs each week, but I-100's website says it's slotted to begin at 10pm every Saturday.  The show is hosted by Lisa Berigan and syndicated by Pineapple Productions.

  1. This is a very unique and one of a kind program! You described it very well. Every saturday night from 10p to Midnight the concert comes to you. We had been running Alice Cooper from 7p to Midnight on Saturday night but found that this time in radio space was the only place it would make sense so we made the adjustment to the line up accordingly! It is the only program of its kind on the radio and it sounds great! When you get a chance, check it out! Thanks for the mention!
