UTICA-ROME -- The Mars Hill Network is adding a new full-power station to improve the reach of its religious programming in the Mohawk Valley.

According to the Utica Observer-Dispatch, the new WMHU 91.1FM will sign-on sometime this spring.  The station will be built in the Herkimer County village of Cold Brook (population 336) and it is intended to cover the City of Utica.  WMHU will bring the number of full-power Mars Hill Network stations to five.

The Mars Hill Network’s flagship station is 102.9 WMHR-FM in Syracuse.  Other full-power stations are WMHI 102.9 Cape Vincent, WMHQ 90.1 Malone, and a fourth station near Rochester.   The network's station list also includes translators in Gouverneur, Ithaca, Lyons Falls, Lowville and Little Falls.
