SYRACUSE — They filled in once last summer — and now, it looks like 93Q (WNTQ) morning duo Ted & Amy will be getting much more face time in front of the cameras on WSYR-TV’s Bridge Street, starting tomorrow morning.
According to NewsChannel 9’s website, the pair will be hosting the show every Friday. Insiders tell us the arrangement is expected to last through at least the summer, and possibly longer.
Regular Bridge Street co-host Carrie Lazarus, who also anchors the news at noon, 5:00, 5:30 and 6:00, usually has Fridays off. Rick Gary used to handle Fridays solo, or with a “guest” co-host (usually another channel 9 personality) until he exited the station last month. It appears WSYR-TV decided to bring in Ted & Amy to avoid a potential “revolving door” of various fill-in hosts on Fridays.
Bridge Street airs weekdays at 10:00am on WSYR-TV, and it repeats several times throughout the day on digital channel 9.2 (Time Warner cable channel 890). If you miss the broadcast or the reruns, clips are also usually posted at 9wsyr.com.
