Extra KROCKATHON Tickets On Sale

August 8, 2009 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- If you thought you were out of luck for tickets to today's sold out KROCKATHON 14, all hope is not lost.  An additional 1,000 tickets will be sold at the gate, but procrastinating will cost you a little bit extra.

According to NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV), the tickets will be sold at the New York State Fairgrounds, starting when the gates open at 10:00am.  These last-minute tickets will be priced at $40, slightly higher than the regular price of $37.  Of course, fans who are anything but procrastinators likely got their tickets for just $25, a special price offered the first day the tickets went on sale, shortly after the lineup was announced in June.

Papa Roach and Three Doors Down are among the major headliners for this year's concert, hosted by the Galaxy Communications-owned trio of K-Rock stations (WKRL, WKRH, WKLL).

A list of set times posted on the KROCKATHON website shows music beginning at 11:15am, with bands alternating between two stages so there are no interruptions.  The only exception comes when Papa Roach finishes what's expected to be an hour-long performance at 8:40pm on the main stage.  A 30-minute set change is expected before Three Doors Down can use the same stage.
