ONEIDA — Many folks suspected it–given the chain of events over the past several months–and now it appears the hunches were right: WMCR’s AM signal at 1600 kHz is now simulcasting the “CNY Talk Radio” lineup that originated on Syracuse sister station WFBL 1390.
The stations’ website at www.cnytalkradio.com included both stations in the masthead graphic as of a few weeks ago, but when we tuned in then, it appeared the AM station was still mirroring WMCR-FM, which recently rebranded as “Mix 106.” But according to CNYRadio.com readers in the Oneida area, WMCR(AM) is now entirely talk radio around the clock.
