KRock Lets Listeners Control the Music

March 8, 2010 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME --  The trio of Modern Rock KRock stations (WKRL North Syracuse/WKRH Minetto/WKLL Frankfort) is giving listeners direct control over the songs played on the stations every Saturday night.  It's all made possible by an online voting system launched last summer by Triton Media.

According to a report on AllAccess.com, Krock PD Nixon said, "KRock is always looking for ways to be more interactive with our listeners, and Jelli seems to be the perfect platform for that. What is more interactive than complete control!?"

Jelli, as you may have guessed, is the name of the service that will take votes from listeners and then play the most-voted songs on the air.  KRock says it'll be using the service on Saturday nights from 7pm to midnight.
