Ithaca CHR Announces New "Hits Girl"

July 25, 2011 by CNYRadio.com

ITHACA -- A little over two months since "Hits Girl Katie" left Saga's Hits 103.3 (W277BS) to pursue a new opportunity in New York City, the station has completed a contest to find her replacement.  The new Hits Girl was announced today via an email blast to listeners.

"Hits Girl Emma" writes on the station website that she's lived in the Finger Lakes region since she was four years old, she graduated from Ithaca High School in 2006, and just recently obtained a degree in recreation management from Ithaca College.

According to the official rules from the contest to find a new "Hits Girl," published in May, the top-40 station expects a 12-month commitment from Emma.  During that time, she'll be paid $10/hour to represent the radio station at various local events for "a minimum of 0-15 hours per week."

The prize package also includes a professional photo shoot, a health club membership, a monthly clothing allowance and free monthly salon visits.
