David Muir: 2011 Leader in Network News Face Time

January 4, 2012 by CNYRadio.com

NEW YORK CITY -- He grew up in Syracuse, got his start as a reporter and anchor at WTVH, and since 2003, he's been working at ABC News. Among his many accolades, David Muir now has the distinction of racking up more "face time" than any other TV network news correspondent during 2011.

According to Geoff Herbert on syracuse.com, an annual report compiled after monitoring network newscasts finds Muir's reports totaled 5 hours and 43 minutes of air time during 2011.  The total doesn't include anchoring -- Muir is the regular weekend anchor for ABC World News, and he is Diane Sawyer's primary back-up during the week.
