Palmer Exiting WOLF, Brandon C. Promoted at MOViN’

SYRACUSE — There’s been a trio of changes within the West Kirkpatrick Street studios of MOViN’ 100.3/96.5 (WMVN) and New Country WOLF 105.1.  Station Manager Sam Furco tells CNYRadio.com that WOLF-FM middayer Chili Palmer is leaving for a new job.  MOViN’ afternoon man Brandon C. is getting a promotion.  And the latter station is adding Billy Bush for nights.

Furco says Palmer has accepted an offer to become the program director for a rock station in West Virginia.  Furco says plans to replace Palmer are “TBA.”  As soon as any announcement is made, we’ll pass along the details.  Palmer joined WOLF-FM in March 2010 and was featured in a Picture of the Week a little later in that same year.  We wish Palmer the best in his new position.

Changes at MOViN’ 100.3/96.5

In the meantime, good news for Brandon C., who joined the lineup at rhythmic AC MOViN’ earlier this year as afternoon host.  Furco tells us Brandon has been promoted to full-time status.  In addition to his on-air shift, he’ll be taking over webmaster and social media duties for both MOViN’ and WOLF.

Furco also tells us MOViN is adding the syndicated Billy Bush Show, weeknights from 9pm to 1am.  If the name sounds familiar, you probably enjoy keeping up on celebrity news — Bush joined the syndicated infotainment show Access Hollywood as a correspondent in 2001, and has been the show’s co-anchor since 2004.  He’s also hosted various projects for NBC including the short-lived 2003 remake of the game show Let’s Make a Deal.  Bush is a nephew of President (#41) George H. W. Bush and a cousin of President (#43) George W. Bush.
