ITHACA/CORTLAND -- The Cayuga Radio Group, the market-leading cluster of radio stations owned by Saga Communications, has a couple of job vacancies.  They need a full-time news reporter/anchor for WHCU and they need a voicetrack talent for 98.7 The Vine.  Details on both positions, as provided by the front office, are as follows:

WHCU News Anchor/Reporter

News-Talk WHCU in beautiful Ithaca NY has an immediate opening for a full-time reporter.  This AM/FM simulcast is the leader in the market for news coverage.  The right candidate has excellent writing skills, a solid on-air delivery and knows  the value of social media in the newsroom.  If you have a natural instinct for what is news and know how to tell a story, we want to hear your story.  We’ve got the idyllic location with all the tools and an excellent benefit program to start or grow your career.  This heritage station has a 90 year history many great professionals have worked here.

Voicetracking on 98.7 The Vine

Cayuga Radio Group in Ithaca, NY is seeking part time air talent for its Triple A station, 98.7 The Vine.  Must be a true music fan – live the format!  Andrew Bird to Warren Zevon, Ani DiFranco to Wilco, this station is different.  Different is Good!  Must bring energy and enthusiasm to the airwaves.  This is a voicetracking position, but you won’t get by just reading liners. Hours are flexible.  Experience preferred.
