Galaxy's Pam and Ed Levine to be honored at "Basket Ball" Gala

SYRACUSE --  High praise from one of the region's most prominent charitable organizations for Galaxy Communications President/CEO Ed Levine and his wife, Pam, GM of the company's Events division.  The couple will be honored as "MVPs" this year at The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation's 14th annual Basket Ball Gala.

In a press release issued by Galaxy today, Ed Levine said, "Pam and I are thrilled to be receiving this honor from The Boeheims and their Foundation. It demonstrates the continuing importance of local ownership in media as we have been able to use our businesses to constantly attempt to improve the quality of life in Central New York."

"We are thrilled to be honoring Pam and Ed Levine,” said Juli Boeheim. "Pam and Ed serve with a passion and commitment that is second to none. Their reach extends way beyond The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation as they have a heart to make this community the best it can be!"

The Basket Ball Gala will be held on Saturday, April 27 at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona.

Galaxy Communications owns a total of 14 radio stations in the Syracuse and Utica-Rome markets.  Among the group's holdings are Syracuse classic rockers TK99 and TK105 (WTKW/WTKV), the flagship stations for Syracuse University football and men's basketball.  Galaxy Events produces major festivals such as Taste of Syracuse and Fireworks Over CNY.

The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation strives to enrich the lives of kids in need within Central New York, as well as, provide support for eliminating cancer through research and advocacy.
