SYRACUSE -- NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV) anchor Tanja Babich said she's "living the dream," speaking at the podium during a naturalization ceremony in Syracuse today.  Babich was there because she was one of 38 people to become U.S. citizens during the ceremony.

The ABC affiliate posted a brief story, along with a 5-minute video of Babich's remarks, on 9WSYR.com today.  Babich, who currently co-anchors The Morning News along with managing editor Dan Cummings and meteorologist Chris Brandolino, has been with the station since 2007.  Prior to joining the early morning newscast in 2011, Babich had spent some time co-hosting the station's mid-morning talk show, Bridge Street.

The Toronto native attended Northwestern University in Chicago and Cornell University before joining NewsChannel 9.  CNYTVNews.com extends our congratulations to Tanja.
