Updated 5/10/13 -- SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Press Club reports three people are leaving local television newsrooms for new jobs. Two will be moving out-of-state for TV news positions in larger markets, while another will remain local, with a new job outside of broadcasting.

In its latest "Comings and Goings" update, SPC says board member Amanda Seef is leaving the assignment desk at YNN to become an EMT for Rural/Metro.  As she put it on Facebook, instead of sending news crews out to chase ambulances, she'll now be working in them every day.

One of Seef's co-workers, web producer Ginger Whitaker, is also leaving the Time Warner Cable 24/7 local news channel. She's got a new job with WAVY-TV in Norfolk, Virginia.  The SPC says Whitaker produced the early morning "Today in Central New York" at NBC3 (WSTM) prior to joining YNN.

And over in East Syracuse, there's a recent departure from ABC affiliate NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV).  Former Eleven @ 11:00 producer Andrea Nejman has moved to the Washington, D.C. market, to become a producer for NewsChannel 8, a local 24/7 cable news network operated by ABC affiliate WJLA-TV.  Nejman spent three years at NewsChannel 9.

The SPC also relayed our earlier news of the recent departure of WKTV/Utica reporter Lexie O'Connor, who took a similar position in Portland, Maine.
