Big Mike leaves Y94FM

September 10, 2001 by Scott Jameson

Y94FM's longtime morning man Big Mike Fiss signed off his Y Morning Big Show for the last time this morning. Fiss is rumored to be headed to another local station, possibly Sunny 102.

The Galaxy Communications station's morning slot has been open since Bill Baker's departure just a week ago.

Except for a three-year stint in Ohio, Big Mike has spent most of his broadcast career, more than 20 years, at WYYY going back to the years of 94 Rock. At one time Y94FM was a Syracuse radio powerhouse, but has seen a decline in its ratings over the past several years.
