The head of WCNY is leaving after four years at the helm.
In a statement released by WCNY, the public broadcasting outlet said that they “have reached a joint decision and have mutually agreed to end their affiliation” with Michael A. Fields, president and chief executive officer.

Kevin Hoverstad, a longtime Jazz 88 (WAER) volunteer, died on January 31 less than two years after receiving a lung transplant.

Robert McCabe, a former WOLF 1490 AM staffer and morning show engineer for 570 WSYR in Syracuse died earlier this month.
McCabe, who was 84, lived in LeRoy, outside of Rochester.

Former Syracuse jock Kevin Klein is the new co-host of a weekday morning show from 9 a.m. – noon on XM’s channel 156.
Klein, who worked for Galaxy Communications’ K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH) as F’n Kevin, shares the microphone with VH1 Radio co-host Maria Chambers.

Former Syracuse jock and B104.7 (WBBS) program director Rick “RJ” Jordan is returning to the Salt City to program WSCP.
Jordan has spent the last three years in Portland, Maine as program director and afternoon air personality at WPOR 101.9. He’ll join the Galaxy Communications staff on March 7th.
