Ithaca news/talker WHCU 870 is celebrating it’s 85th Anniversary by expanding the news department. The station is hoping to add a full-time position to take on afternoon anchoring and evening reporting duties.
Syracuse’s Movin 100.3/96.5 confirms for CNYRadio.com that morning host/PD Nick Caplan is no longer employed by the station. Station management only said of the decision, “we decided to make a change.” In the meantime…

Looks like Whoopi Goldberg’s about to get whooped in Utica/Rome — Galaxy Communications has posted an “immediate opening” for a morning show host at WUMX Mix 102.5, one of the properties it acquired from ClearChannel last fall.
