WATERTOWN — The Z93 (WCIZ) show that brings listeners back in time — for both local and musical history — (hence the name Z93wind) will be celebrating it’s 200th show this weekend.
INDIANAPOLIS — First they were on the radio, then they were also on cable TV. Now, the nationally-synduicated Bob & Tom Show, carried locally in Syracuse and Watertown, and formerly in Utica, is back to being a radio-only show.
WATERTOWN — Local sports-talk fans in the North Country will soon get more of their daily “fix” during the ride home from work. Matt McClusky announced today that his ESPN Radio 1410 (WNER) show, MattMc’s Sports Fix, will be adding another hour next month.
LOWVILLE — You probably don’t hear about the Lewis County Fair unless you actually live in Lewis County, but this year’s fair managed to attract many country music fans, along with Watertown’s leading radio station, Froggy 97 (WFRY).
WATERTOWN — Despite the fact the numbers were recalculated after two in-tab diaries were discarded from the Fall 2009 survey period, there do not appear to be any major surprises in the latest Arbitron ratings released for the Watertown market… or in the re-issued Fall 2009 numbers.
WATERTOWN — Arbitron today told its clients that it has disqualified two in-tab diaries from its Fall 2009 survey of the Watertown market. The ratings giant explains the diaries “were returned from a household whose participation in the survey was disclosed to a media-affiliated individual.” Arbitron says some ratings — particularly for The Border 106.7 (WBDR-FM) — may be “substantially affected” as a result of removing the two diaries.
NEW YORK CITY — When Kelly Ripa takes vacation in mid-August, there will be an empty seat on the long-running morning TV gabfest Live! With Regis and Kelly. To find substitutes, the show launched a “Women of Radio Co-Host for a Day” promotion. Listeners submitted their nominations, and today, syndicated AC night host Delilah, heard throughout Central New York, is among the top 100 finalists.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT — During one of his national tour appearances over the weekend, Glenn Beck told fans he has been diagnosed with macular distrophy, a disease that could cost the syndicated talk show host his vision. Beck’s syndicated show has affiliates in all four markets of CNYRadio.com’s coverage area. |
