Galaxy expanding to include Albany

August 17, 2001 by Scott Jameson

Local radio group Galaxy Communications may be looking for opportunities beyond Central New York.

All Access is reporting that Ed Levine's company has agreed to buy two Albany stations, Adult Contemporary station WKLI 94.5 FM and News WABY 1400 AM. No word on what the deal will cost Galaxy. The company currently owns and operates Syracuse stations TK99/105, K-Rock, Sunny 102, and WSCP.
