Q: If the polls are supposed to begin/end at midnight on Mondays, how come this page says they’re set to change at 11pm on Sunday?
A: For some quirky reason, the “plugin” that handles the polls seems to be running an hour behind. Even though it says the current question will end at 11pm Sunday, the polls will actually change out at the correct time, midnight every Monday. (We’re hoping to get this corrected, but we didn’t create the polling engine, so it’s out of our control.)
Q: How come it won’t let me vote? I haven’t voted yet!
A: To prevent individuals from voting over and over and over (which happened in a recent poll), we tweaked the system so it allows only one vote per IP address. If you’re not being allowed to vote from work or another public place, that means someone else already voted from that IP number. Try voting from another computer, or another location. (And before you ask… no, we can’t tell who you are by the IP numbers, and even if we could, we would never share that information with anyone.)
