POTW: CNBC's David Faber visits Syracuse, appears on WCNY-TV (2012)

January 4, 2013 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- From the "better late than never" file, when CNBC anchor and reporter David Faber visited Syracuse in October, a speaking engagement at the CenterState Business Showcase wasn't his only public appearance.  The award winning journalist, perhaps best known as co-anchor of CNBC's daily Squawk on the Street, also appeared as a guest on WCNY-TV's Financial Fitness that same night.

David Faber of CNBC, left, with WCNY-TV Financial Fitness host Jim Burns. October 25, 2012, at the Oncenter Convention Center in Syracuse, NY.

Above is Faber, at left, with Financial Fitness host Jim Burns.  They're standing in the Oncenter Convention Center where the aforementioned showcase was held.  That's also where the interview with Faber was shot, for broadcast on that evening's Financial Fitness program.  If you didn't catch the October 25 broadcast, video of the entire episode is available on the WCNY website.

Thanks to WCNY Public Relations Manager Haley Dubnoff for sharing the photo, and at the same time, apologies for the long delay!  Haley sent this photo the same day it was taken, but it somehow got past your humble editor that day.  It wasn't until last night, while searching the inbox for another item, that I discovered this photo had been sitting there all along.

Financial Fitness airs live on Thursdays at 8pm, on WCNY-DT 24.1.  Over-the-air viewers in the Mohawk Valley can catch the show on WCNY's Utica translator, W22DO.
