SYRACUSE — Congratulations again to Clear Channel’s B104.7 (WBBS) for showing up twice on the list of nominations for this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. One nomination is for the station as a whole; the other is for the station’s morning show.

SYRACUSE — Local stations are once again in the running for the Academy of Country Music Awards. This year, Clear Channel’s B104.7 (WBBS) is up for medium market “Station of the Year.” Meantime, locally-owned New Country WOLF 105.1′s morning show is nominated for “Broadcast Personality of the Year.”
SYRACUSE — They’ve been nominated time and time again for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, but still no prize for B104.7 (WBBS) morning co-hosts Tom Owens and Becky Palmer. Meantime, New Country WOLF 105.1 night host Cody Alan is named “Personality of the Year” on the national level. 
Syracuse’s B104.7 (WBBS) has been nominated in both of the broadcast award categories for the 2008 Country Music Awards. The station is up for one award, and morning co-hosts Ron Bee and Becky Palmer are up for their own award. 
Contrary to the popular saying… it doesn’t stay in Vegas if you post it on the station website! WFRY morning co-host James Pond alerted us to some pictures from a recent trip to Vegas after the show was nominated for an award from the Academy of Country music this spring.
B104.7 (WBBS/Fulton-Syracuse) and Froggy 97 (WFRY/Watertown) have received nominations for Academy of Country Music Awards. B104.7 morning hosts Ron and Becky are in the running for “On Air Personality of the Year – Medium Market.” Froggy 97 is among the candidates for “Radio Station of the Year – Small Market.” |
