SYRACUSE — Another sign that helps confirm the still-unconfirmed buzz that Clear Channel is transitioning 106.9FM from the urban-AC “Power” to a simulcast of sister station NewsRadio 570 WSYR. The FCC’s call sign database shows an application was filed yesterday to bring the WSYR-FM calls back to Syracuse.

Updated 5/6 at 8:30pm – SYRACUSE — There was no programming on 105.1 by the end of Tuesday, as we were originally led to believe, but we have official confirmation that the station will simulcast WVOA’s “Love Radio” format when it returns to the airwaves. 
SYRACUSE — We all knew it would happen sooner or later — Nova 105.1 (WWDG) and its “90s and now” format are gone from the local airwaves. The station signed off the air this afternoon and now sits silent, waiting for its new owner to take control.
SYRACUSE — The days of Hot AC on the 105.1 signal out of DeRuyter could be limited; Aloha Stations Trust, LLC has sold WWDG to local owner Craig Fox… in a deal reportedly worth $1.25 million. (Updated 3/7 at 7:00pm) 
Now that the privatization of Clear Channel is complete, it’s time for CC Media to sell off 54 stations previously placed in the “Aloha Stations Trust,” and DeRuyter’s Nova 105.1 (WWDG) is on the list. |
