SYRACUSE — Among TV stations, it was a fairly even split between channels 3 and 9 for the 2011 Best of Syracuse awards. On the radio side, 93Q (WNTQ) is the big winner. The awards were announced in today’s edition of the weekly Syracuse NewTimes newspaper. [More »]

SYRACUSE — You may have heard on the air (or read on CNYRadio.com’s Facebook page), that 93Q (WNTQ) morning co-host Ted Long underwent gastric bypass surgery last week. We’re glad to report he returned to work yesterday. According to a report published today, Long has already lost nearly 25 pounds — and says he wants to shed another 125. [More »]

We sent out a series of questions, figuring it would be interesting to see which ones get responses. To get things started, we thought it would be fun to follow-up on the site’s very first story from a decade ago: internet rumors that 93Q’s Rick Roberts was dating Britney Spears. SYRACUSE — Citing a “decline in ratings and funding,” WCNY-TV has cancelled WCNY Connected, a weekly lifestyle/entertainment show hosted by 93Q (WNTQ) morning co-hosts Ted Long and Amy Robbins. Additionally, the station is pushing its long-running Central Issues back to its original weekly format, after trying out the show as a daily offering for awhile. [More »]
