WSYR Adding Bob Lonsberry for Afternoons

SYRACUSE — There will be a new local talk show on FM Newsradio 106.9 and 570 WSYR starting next Monday.  Morning host Joe Galuski announced on-air the 3-5pm timeslot will be filled by Bob Lonsberry, a familiar name in the Rochester market, where he’s been doing radio for more than 25 years.  The addition of Lonsberry also means additional schedule changes through the evening hours.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — It’s an unprecedented deal between two of the biggest companies in radio: Cumulus Media is joining iHeartRadio, the platform owned by Clear Channel which already provides mobile streaming of more than 800 Clear Channel stations.  By adding the 570 stations owned by Cumulus, iHeartRadio will offer roughly 1400 stations — many direct competitors with each other — through one single application. UTICA/ROME — Less than two weeks after crosstown competitor Mix 102.5 (WUMX) went all-Christmas, the market’s heritage AC station, Lite 98.7 (WLZW) has made the switch.
