Teams Wanted for Kickball Tournament

Clear Channel Syracuse is now accepting team registrations for the 3rd Annual Bill Leaf Kickball Tournament.  Leaf was working as a reporter for Newsradio 570 WSYR, and a part-time sportscaster for WTVH-TV, when he was killed by a drunk driver in 2006.  This year’s tournament will take place on Saturday, May 17th at Onondaga Lake Park. Reliable sources tell CNYRadio.com that Newsradio 570 WSYR anchor Jason Smith is moving to the WRVO Stations in Oswego.  Smith joined WSYR a little over two years ago, working his way from overnights to assignment editor and morning drive anchor.  We’re told Smith’s last day at WSYR is today, but no word on when he’ll begin at WRVO.

Report: Scorch pulled off ‘The Dog’

SYRACUSE — All Access is reporting that Scorch has been suspended from his duties at New Rock 105 ‘The Dog’ (WWDG) pending a review of some on-air obscenities.  Scorch is the Clear Channel active rocker’s afternoon air personality and music director. The station’s web site lists Dino as The Dog’s new afternoon guy.  Is Scorch gone for good or is it all part of a stunt? Only time will tell.  (Story source: All Access)
