UTICA/ROME — It’s one of the many ways local broadcast radio gives back to the community. The 11th annual Children’s Miracle Network radiothon on Lite 98.7 (WLZW) raised $29,000 over a two-day period this week. Every single dollar raised will directly benefit pediatric and maternity services at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica.
UTICA/ROME — In less than two hours, “Flashback Saturday Night” host Rich Lawrence will be signing off Lite 98.7 (WLZW) for the last time. Lawrence says he’s had a blast over the past five years he had been on the station’s part-time roster, but he says it’s time to move on.
Updated 8/1 – UTICA-ROME — Lite 98.7 (WLZW) raised more than $25,000 during its 10th annual Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon, held Thursday and Friday. Proceeds will benefit children’s services at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica.
UTICA-ROME — There are now three stations in the Utica-Rome market playing non-stop Christmas music. Lite 98.7 (WLZW) made the switch early this morning. It’s the first time in the Regent Communications AC station’s 20-year history that the all-Christmas switch was flipped before Christmas Eve.
