GENEVA — After seeing Tuesday’s article about the mug contest at fellow NPR affiliate WRVO, General Manager Aaron Read at WEOS writes to tell us his station’s also been asking for listeners to lend their creativity to a similar project for a little over a week now. GENEVA — Tower work on the campus of Hobart and William Smith Colleges could force WEOS’ translator on 90.3 FM (W212BA) to shut down for awhile on Friday. The station’s primary signal at 89.7FM and all other frequencies will not be impacted. [More »]

Yesterday’s announced budget cuts at NPR will result in “Day to Day” being pulled from the WRVO weekday lineup, and “News and Notes” disappearing from the WEOS weekday lineup. No replacements have been named yet. [More »]

Geneva NPR affiliate WEOS has announced plans to bring “Democracy Now!” journalist Amy Goodman to The Smith Opera House on November 21. She’ll talk about her arrest at the Republican National Convention, the Wall Street crisis and other current topics. [More »]
