The 11th annual Children’s Miracle Network radiothon on Lite 98.7 (WLZW) raised $29,000 over a two-day period this week. Every single dollar raised will directly benefit pediatric and maternity services at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica.

CENTRAL NEW YORK — All this week we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of CNYRadio.com with a series of special reports. Yesterday, several folks who’ve been in local radio for 10+ years explained why they feel consolidation was “the” biggest story from the past decade. Despite the negative side of consolidation, most radio pros are optimistic for what’s ahead. Today, we share their predictions for the next ten years.

So, for a moment, let’s all pretend it’s Christmas time once again, as one Utica/Rome radio personality shares one of his family’s favorite holiday traditions. 
UTICA-ROME — It’s a move we don’t see often, especially in the current economic climate: a syndicated show being replaced by a local personality. That actually happened this week on the two Kiss-FM stations (WSKS/WSKU) owned by Roser Communications Network.
UTICA/ROME — Two personalities who exited Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) within two days of each other in September have found new jobs in radio. Former middayer Jesse Jordan has been hired for the same daypart in a significantly larger market down the Thruway, while former night jock “Intern Dave” drops his nickname to fill some shifts at the Regent cluster across town.
UTICA-ROME — Less than a week after Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) night jock “Intern Dave” Wheeler was shown the door from the Roser Communications Network duo, there’s a new personality on the air. But don’t count on meeting Jackson Blue at any station remotes — it’s a long drive from Texas. 
UTICA-ROME — With all the changes in the staffing lineup at Kiss-FM — over the past few months and this week alone — it was practically a given, we’d have to take a look back at “the way things were” for our latest Picture of the Week. 
UTICA-ROME — Less than 24 hours after he announced plans to reduce his involvement at Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) to weekends and fill-ins, former nighttime jock “Intern Dave” Wheeler tells CNYRadio.com he has been fired from the station.
