UTICA-ROME — This past weekend marked the 31st running of “America’s Biggest 15K Road Race,” the Utica Boilermaker. Every year, the race gets bigger and bigger… and for many years, local media outlets have made it a point to have a presence at the race. Several pictures this week instead of the usual one.

UTICA-ROME — Former WOUR afternoon drive personality Jerry Kraus announced plans to run for a seat on the City of Utica’s Common Council earlier this week.
It’s been a little over a year since Clear Channel sold its Utica-Rome cluster to Galaxy Communications. As a result of the sale, several long-time on-air personalities were let go, but at least one has since landed on his feet. 
96.9 WOUR officially turned 30 on June 3rd, but the party to celebrate the milestone runs all summer as the Clear Channel rocker has special events planned through September. |
