Man Dies After Attending K-Rockathon

An Oneida County man has died after attending the K-Rockathon earlier this month, according to the Utica Observer-Dispatch.  The paper says James M. Cieri of Westmoreland, 20, suffered a skull fracture, which was discovered after he complained of a headache on the way home from the concert in Weedsport. [More »]

County officials to rule on K-Rockathon permits

Oswego County health officials expect to decide today whether to allow the K-Rockathon modern rock festival, scheduled Sunday at the Oswego Speedway. Michael Rosen, Oswego County Deputy Health Commissioner, said Galaxy Communications and Pro Events are meeting all of their obligations, but ideally the promoter should have been working with the county months before the event.
