SYRACUSE/UTICA — Longtime central New York radio and TV personality Rick Gary is among six people who are to be inducted to the New York State Broadcasters’ Association Hall of Fame during a ceremony next month in New York City. 
SYRACUSE — It won’t be long before the recently-retired-from-TV Dave Eichorn is back on the airwaves of Central New York. The popular meteorologist will provide forecasts for Y94FM (WYYY) starting in January.
SYRACUSE – Clear Channel AC Y94FM (WYYY) has moved the John Tesh Radio Show from evenings to afternoon drive. 
Syracuse broadcast legend Dave Laird is retiring at the end of this month, comes word today from Y94FM (WYYY) Program Director Kathy Rowe. Laird’s radio career has taken him up and down the Syracuse dial … and back and forth along Interstate 90 too. After nearly a week of chatter and rumors about Y94FM (WYYY) and TK-99/105 (WTKW/WTKV), the cat is officially out of the bag. Well, sort of.
Y94FM (WYYY) has added Your Weekend with Jim Brickman to its Sunday morning lineup. The three-hour weekly show, hosted by the Windham Hill artist, replaces one hosted by fellow keyboard player John Tesh.
For the past year, Y94FM (WYYY) has been airing the weekend version of John Tesh’s syndicated radio show. Starting this week, listeners can catch the former Entertainment Tonight host each weekday from midnight until 5 a.m. After eight years as part of Y94FM’s morning show, Kathy Rowe is giving up early mornings to devote more time to her programming responsibilities and midday on-air shift. It looks like the dust is settling over at Y94FM (WYYY) and B104.7 (WBBS). The latest move involves a promotion for Kathy Rowe who takes over programming duties at Y94FM. |
