SYRACUSE — This week, we’ve got not one… not two… but four different Pictures of the Week. Syracuse radio stations were out in full force at a number of special events last weekend. It wouldn’t be fair to choose just one and make the others wait for another week or two, so we just decided to feature them all today.

SYRACUSE — Anyone who works in broadcasting knows there are certain times of the year you’re forbidden (or at least strongly discouraged) to take vacation. Those are usually the most important ratings or sweeps periods of the year. But in Syracuse, you can cross 12 more days off the calendar: The Great New York State Fair. In this “Mega Picture of the Week” we have not one, not ten, but 16 pictures from this year’s fair. 
Updated 8/14 at 1:35pm – SYRACUSE — It’s now confirmed: former Hot 107.9 (WWHT) morning co-hosts Marty and Shannon are still part of the station’s weekday lineup after the syndicated “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” debuted on the Clear Channel CHR today. But they won’t be together: Shannon’s solo for middays 10a-2p, and Marty follows until 7pm.
SYRACUSE — At least four national recording artists will be coming to Syracuse for “Summer Crush 2010,” a concert announced this morning on Clear Channel’s Hot 107.9 (WWHT). The concert is set to take place at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter in August… and interestingly, one of the headliners was just in town a few weeks ago for a competing radio station’s event. 
CENTRAL NEW YORK — Plenty of local stations helped their communities celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day by taking part in local parades and other events. It wouldn’t be fair to just show one station, so we’ve got a few different ones sharing the honors in this edition of Picture of the Week. 
SYRACUSE — Health insurance, paid vacation and a retirement plan are nice benefits found at most jobs… but how about a free trip to a resort in the Bahamas? You might call Mary & Shannon of Hot 107.9 (WWHT) the luckiest morning show co-hosts in town after seeing the pictures from their latest adventure beyond the studio. 
SYRACUSE — Don’t know about you, but this especially wet, chilly week made us appreciate the fact that — despite the lack of any major heat waves — it was still a pretty good summer. So before conceding to the fact that 5pm nightfall and snowstorms are just around the corner… we’re heading back about a month to the warmer days of the New York State Fair. 
SYRACUSE — It’s been five years since Marty & Shannon were teamed up as morning hosts on Hot 107.9 (WWHT). They celebrated last weekend with a big party at the FunJunction in Cicero.
SYRACUSE — They’re still a long way from matching the longevity of Ted & Amy, but it’s still a remarkable accomplishment in today’s ever-changing radio landscape. Hot 107.9 (WWHT) morning team Marty & Shannon will be celebrating 5 years on the air together with a party later this month.
