At first, neither was able to discuss their next steps in great detail, but this morning (coincidentally) we’ve learned where former 93Q (WNTQ) jock Mike Cauchon and former Syracuse Chiefs sportscaster Mike Couzens are headed.

SYRACUSE — After three years hosting nights at Citadel CHR 93Q (WNTQ), Mike Cauchon is headed to New England for his next job. And that leaves PD/OM Tom Mitchell on the hunt for a replacement and we’ve got the details on how you can apply. 
SYRACUSE — Anyone who works in broadcasting knows there are certain times of the year you’re forbidden (or at least strongly discouraged) to take vacation. Those are usually the most important ratings or sweeps periods of the year. But in Syracuse, you can cross 12 more days off the calendar: The Great New York State Fair. In this “Mega Picture of the Week” we have not one, not ten, but 16 pictures from this year’s fair. 
SYRACUSE — We originally had a picture from 93Q (WNTQ) night host Mike Cauchon planned for this week, when we received a photo of morning team Ted & Amy receiving an important award. Timely events usually win the priority battle, but we didn’t want to make Mike wait yet another week (he submitted his picture about a month ago) — so we present a 2-for-1 special featuring both bookends of the 93Q weekday talent lineup!
SYRACUSE — If you happen to catch Mike Cauchon from 93Q (WNTQ) looking a little tired this week, give the guy a break (and perhaps a cup of coffee). In addition to his usual night show on the Citadel CHR station, he’s pulling double duty with morning television traffic reports all week. 
SYRACUSE — It’s one of the few places where you can count on seeing plenty of broadcasters together in one place every year: the Great New York State Fair, which opened yesterday in the Town of Geddes, just outside of Syracuse. In this “Mega Picture of the Week,” here are all the stations we found during a quick swing through the fairgrounds on Opening Day. 
SYRACUSE — For the first time in years, you won’t see 93Q (WNTQ) at this weekend’s Syracuse Balloonfest. But they’re OK with that — because the Citadel CHR brought some top names to town last weekend for their very own “Summer Jam on the Island” concert last weekend, and they say it was a huge success. 
SYRACUSE – Just a few days after 93Q (WNTQ) spent a week celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Ted & Amy in the Morning,” the station has taken longtime midday jock Big Jim Donovan off the air. Management hopes it’s a “temporary situation.” UPDATE 11/19 – Big Jim doesn’t seem to think it’s temporary. |
