UTICA/ROME — Fans of former WXUR morning show host Bill Keeler waited more than a month to find out where they’d be able to hear Keeler in the Morning again. And last night, they found out: through a commercial which aired on Fox 33 (WFXV), Keeler announced he’s launching his own network of internet radio stations. [More »]

UTICA/ROME — According to a story on Utica Daily News, the online newspaper owned by Bill Keeler, his wakeup show on WXUR has been cancelled. The story says owner Mindy Barstein wants to put the syndicated Bob & Tom Show on mornings. Keeler was offered the chance to move to afternoons, but declined. UTICA-ROME — Today’s shift of ESPN Radio over to Galaxy Communications stations in Syracuse and Utica-Rome has had another impact on competitors. Arjuna Broadcasting’s WNRS 1420 shifts to a hybrid format of Fox Sports Radio during the day and Bloomberg Financial Radio in the evening. [More »]

UTICA — Longtime Mohawk Valley fixture Bill Keeler moved his show over to Arjuna Broadcasting’s WXUR almost two years ago, but many listeners may not have noticed until earlier this month — when the station’s transmitter moved northwest from Frankfort to the more-popular Smith Hill, overlooking Utica from the north.
