SYRACUSE/UTICA — The K-Rock trio of stations (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) has a new host for the night shift. According to PD Nixon, the station has named Candace Curby the new 6-11pm personality, starting June 28th. Current night jock Tiff is exiting for other opportunities outside radio. SYRACUSE — A mix of national and local acts are on the bill for the 4th annual KRock (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) Dysfunctional Family BBQ. The station says the concert is set for Sunday, May 29th at Chevy Court at the New York State Fairgrounds. Tickets go on sale Saturday morning.
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME — The trio of Modern Rock KRock stations (WKRL North Syracuse/WKRH Minetto/WKLL Frankfort) is giving listeners direct control over the songs played on the stations every Saturday night. It’s all made possible by an online voting system launched last summer by Triton Media.

SYRACUSE — Three Doors Down and Papa Roach are among what KROCK is calling the “strongest lineup the radio station has presented in its 14 years of putting on” the KROCKATHON. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, for the August 8th event, which will be hosted at the New York State Fairgrounds in the Syracuse suburb of Geddes.
