UTICA/ROME — Roser Communications Networks CHR Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) is on the hunt for a new night host and webmaster, as Johnny Lew announces he’s leaving the station. ”After almost two great years,” PD Shaun Andrews says Lew’s last day is Friday.
UTICA/ROME — A major restaurant chain known for its great ice cream recently hosted “Free Ice Cream Day” at nearly all of its locations last weekend. In many markets, radio stations ran live remotes to draw more attention to the event, and it’s been awhile since we’ve had a Picture of the Week from Utica… where Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) was promoting the giveaway.
UTICA-ROME — It’s a move we don’t see often, especially in the current economic climate: a syndicated show being replaced by a local personality. That actually happened this week on the two Kiss-FM stations (WSKS/WSKU) owned by Roser Communications Network.
UTICA-ROME — The rumors were rampant 4 days ago, but it’s now official: former Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) morning host Gary Spears will be back in the air chair Monday morning, reclaiming the show he left back in March. Not much else in the way of new details beyond our earlier coverage, which follows:

The station recently hired a new overnight jock, and their website is promoting the debut of a new morning host next week. But signs indicate the selection may NOT be so new.

UTICA-ROME — Less than 24 hours after he announced plans to reduce his involvement at Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU) to weekends and fill-ins, former nighttime jock “Intern Dave” Wheeler tells CNYRadio.com he has been fired from the station.
