OSWEGO — After 18 years on staff, Mathew Seubert is leaving WRVO Public Media, station management confirmed Wednesday night. Seubert, currently the station’s Director of Development and Underwriting, is leaving to take a similar position with another non-profit organization outside of broadcasting. [More »]

Updated 7:20pm with 3rd job opening — OSWEGO — Looking to fill some recent vacancies, WRVO Public Media has posted three job openings, including two within the NPR affiliate’s news department. The station is seeking a “Director of Regional Content Development,” as well as a technology reporter for the ongoing Innovation Trail program. The third job is a “swing” position involving a combination of duties. There’s also word of a new satellite studio to open in downtown Syracuse next year. [More »]

OSWEGO — You already read here about Dave Bullard’s recent move from WRVO to Syracuse ABC affiliate WSYR-TV. Now, we’ve learned a few others have recently exited the NPR affiliate on the SUNY Oswego campus. The station’s GM confirms at least two others have left in what he’s termed a staffing ”reset.” [More »]

OSWEGO — Student-operated 88.9 WNYO at SUNY Oswego has a “full lineup” of sports set for the upcoming academic year. OSWEGO — If you’ve got a particularly favorite program on WRVO, you may need to adjust your listening habits. Later this month, the NPR affiliate will be launching a third program stream. The added capacity gives the station some new opportunities to group certain types of programming together, meaning some programs will be moving to new timeslots. [More »]

OSWEGO — The award-winning newsroom at the WRVO Stations is growing. The station welcomes “Innovation Trail” reporter Emma Jacobs, who held the same title at Binghamton’s WSKG. SYRACUSE — Top journalists from Syracuse and surrounding markets gathered for the Syracuse Press Club’s 33rd annual Scholarship and Professional Recognition Awards Dinner last night at Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse. OSWEGO — There won’t be any pledge drive breaks during “Foneless February” at WRVO, but there could be pledge drives coming in March if the station doesn’t reach its fundraising goals this month. To give listeners an incentive to open their wallets, all pledges will be doubled by a third party, dollar for dollar.
