GENEVA — After seeing Tuesday’s article about the mug contest at fellow NPR affiliate WRVO, General Manager Aaron Read at WEOS writes to tell us his station’s also been asking for listeners to lend their creativity to a similar project for a little over a week now. And he says WEOS has some other big events in the works.

GENEVA – In the wake of NPR’s decision last week to cancel News & Notes, affiliate WEOS has announced a number of changes to its weekday schedule, effective early next year. National Public Radio news correspondent and former host of Talk of the Nation, Juan Williams, will be in town on Tuesday to discuss the terrorism crisis. Williams will present “The Nation in Crisis: A Journalist’s Look at America Under Threat” at 4 p.m. in room 254 of Newhouse II building. 
National Public Radio’s Neal Conan has officially been named as the new fulltime host of Talk of the Nation. Conan, who has been filling in for the past couple of weeks, replaces Juan Williams. Talk of the Nation can be heard weekdays on WRVO FM 90. National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation is looking for a new host. Juan Williams, who did his final show on August 30, will stay on as a Senior Correspondant for NPR’s Morning Edition. |
