SYRACUSE — CNY Talk Radio (WFBL/WMCR-AM) local midday host Jon Alvarez announced on today’s broadcast that he’s ending his show, effective immediately. SYRACUSE — About a day after CNY Talk Radio (WFBL/WMCR-A) noontime host Jon Alvarez posted a Facebook tribute to Joe Stack, the social networking site pulled the page down, citing a policy banning “hateful or threatening” pages. Stack was the pilot who took his own life and one other when he crashed a small plane into an IRS office in Texas earlier this week.

SYRACUSE — According to AllAccess, the new CNY Talk Radio (WFBL) is among four new affiliates of The Money Pit. The home improvement show, hosted by Tom Kraeutler and Leslie Segrete, airs on the weekend lineup. On a side note, still nothing to see at www.cnytalkradio.com but if you dial up the former website at wfbl.com, you’ll be redirected to the station’s Twitter feed.
